JENNA'S WISH
Jenna Montroy is an 11 year old girl who was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma cancer and went through chemotherapy and radiation treatment in 2006 until May 2007. Jenna applied for a wish through the Make A Wish Foundation in February of 2007. Jenna's wish was not for herself, but for the Beverly Animal Shelter to be made over by ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Unfortunately the shelter was not chosen for the show.
The Capital Campaign Kick Off for Jenna's Wish was held on September 13th 2008 at the shelter.
The goal is to raise $40,000 to construct "Jenna's Room". A facility which will help wayward animals. It will provide washing facilities and even a treatment room for animals! $40,000 is needed to construct the building, and once constructed, Make A Wish will help Jenna provide the necessary equipment for the new room. The goal thermometer has been started and lets watch it rise to the $40,000 goal! Thank you to Senator Nozzolio for the generous donation of $10,000 to get things started!!!
To donate- send your check to the shelter, the check will be made out to "The Beverly Animal Shelter" but be sure to write "Jenna's Wish" in the memo on the check to ensure it goes to this fundraising effort!
